The brief for this addition was to have an addition that seamlessly fit in with the existing house. The original dwelling was a flat roof dwelling with a separate curved roof carport. The dwelling is situated on a corner block with views of the bush. The original flat roof was removed and replaced with a pitched metal roof which was also used on the addition as well as the separate carport. The first floor addition's style was kept as close to the original house as possible to give the sense that the addition was always part of the dwelling.
